We may not have made the connection but Audi have by searching for the internet and then connecting with Google Earth which is then intergrated with Audi’s navigation system. This new system is being developed for the Audi 8 to give the best in driving experience, using Google’s already poplular sites. By adding a sin card in to the navigator the Audi 8 will be able to communicate at fast speeds, especially later in 2010 when a the UMTS modem is installed.
Drivers of the Audi 8 will be able to see satelite imagery in 3d and in high definition, these customomers need only have their own phone data contract to recieve the data, no further contract with Audi is required.
This has been developed in the new A8 through collaboration of Audi and Google development teams and is sure to be another feature to enhance their share of the executive car market. Those looking to lease an Audi A8, may now see this as and extra piece of icing on an already tasty car.
